Finding the right mentors when you are traveling your real estate investing journey is critical to your success. If you follow the wrong ones you can find you lack critical skills or information that you need to success. Worse you might find you make some bad deals that will wipe you out for years or even forever.
The mentors below have been in the real estate investing field for decades and are some of the best in the industry. Some of them are no longer with us, but you can still find their books and courses out there to study.
The Original Real Estate Investing “Rat Pack”
There are many real estate investors that helped build and shape the industry, but the original “Rat Pack” are some of the legends that investors have been learning from for decades. Some are still with us and some are not. Every one of these guys are what many investors refer to as the original legends in the industry. Many of have taught for decades and are responsible for the success of many investors. It is with deep respect that we honor them here.
Jack Miller
Sadly Jack is no longer with us, but his presence is still felt by many of the investors of today. Jack created many innovative concepts, but is probably most well known for using options. Fortunately, a lot of Jack’s knowledge and wisdom still lives on cashflow depot.
Jimmy Napier
Sadly Jimmy is another legend that is no longer with us. Jimmy is very well known for his book Invest in Debt. Jimmy had a way of understanding debt and a financial calculator like nobody else. You can still get a lot of his information from Gary Johnston on his website.
John Schaub
John still teaches a couple of classes each year, but now spends most of his time traveling and managing his real estate business. John has a few great books to his name that has influenced many investors. You can learn more about him on his website.
Peter Fortunato
Pete is arguably one of the most creative and brilliant real estate investors today. His wisdom, stories, and knowledge have influenced countless investors for decades. Pete still teaches a number of classes each year. His classes are not to be missed. Check out his website.
The real estate investing industry has been influenced by many great teachers and practioners. Some are still with us and continue to teach, but many of the great ones have passed on. We encourage you to attend as many classes from those that are still teaching and to dig out of the courses and information of those that have passed on, but still have students or people sharing their great informaiton.
